Christmas shutdown – Out of Hours Emergency Number

As the Christmas holidays are approaching with seasonal cold weather, it is a good time to review your Business Continuity Plans. Be prepared for any disruption that could affect your school building during closure, such as a burst pipe.

Make sure it is reflected in your Business Continuity plan that Salford City Council operates an out of office hours emergency service. The out of hours service operational hours are Monday to Thursday 4.30pm to 8.30am, Friday 4.30pm until Monday at 8.30am and are contactable on 0161 794 8888 or by email emergency.services@salford.gov.uk   

Please note over bank holiday weekends and during the Christmas closedown, the out of hours service is available 24 hours a day.

Please be aware the School Organisation Team and Business Continuity Champions work office hours and there will be a Christmas shutdown from the 25 December 2023 until 2 January 2024.
