Safe school ?

Access control and security are critical for any school or college in protecting its students. Working with us can ensure you have interventions in place that help make the site as secure as it can be, and also reassure OfSTED inspectors, preventing a lower inspection outcome.

Does your school demonstrate that it takes reasonable steps to ensure pupils are safe on the school site? This will include monitoring visitors or volunteers as well as having adequate security arrangements for the grounds and school buildings.

From perimeter fencing to identity badges for staff – have you got all bases covered?

Are you prepared?

Consider what measures your school has in place to prepare for both external and internal threats and incidents. Planning for any kind of emergency is key to ensure you are confident your school could cope with many varied events - knife crime, gun crime, theft, acid attack, assault, flood, airborne pollutant, fire, spillage, explosion........

Attacks in the UK and abroad remind us all of the terrorist threat we face. Police and security agencies are working tirelessly to protect the public but it is also important that communities remain vigilant and aware of how to protect themselves if the need arises.

The police service has released the short public information film called ‘Stay Safe: Firearms and Weapons Attack’ which sets out the key options for keeping safe should the worst happen. Watch the film!
