Impact of a potential fuel crisis

As part of your school’s business continuity responsibilities, and in light of the evolving situation in the Middle East, we are asking you to review how a potential fuel shortage could affect the safe and effective operation of your school. Early consideration of these risks will support a resilience‑first approach and ensure you are well positioned to respond should the situation escalate.

A disruption to fuel supply could impact several essential functions, including pupil transport, delivery of school meals, and staff availability. To support your planning, please find attached a short presentation outlining key questions and areas for reflection. This will help you, alongside your Governing Body or Academy Trust, to identify vulnerabilities and develop proportionate mitigation measures.

Your leadership in preparing for potential disruption is greatly appreciated.
